Every war needs its heroes, and the long-running guerrilla campaign against the multinational brands has just found its latest one. Jonah H Peretti isn't perhaps in the same league as that unknown soldier of liberty who faced the tanks in Tiananmen Square, but his account of an attempt to complete a purchase through the Nike website in the US conjures a similar sensation of thickly-armoured intent momentarily halted by passive resistance.
